SDF
Strapping, Inc. is an innovative product development and
manufacturing corporation offering unique, eco-friendly strapping
products to multiple global markets and industries. Our strapping
products are paper-based patented alternatives to traditional
wire and plastic strapping. We provide customers with viable,
cost-effective solutions to meet the increasing demand for
environmentally responsible packaging materials while also improving
other issues such as safety, handling costs, equipment maintenance
and downtime associated with the use of wire and plastic.
Our
company was established in June of 2003 with the corporate offices,
research lab, manufacturing line, and warehouse located in our
20,000 sq ft facility in Brillion, WI. This location (within minutes
of the Fox River Valley also known as "The Heart of the Paper
Industry") has afforded our research team access to the many
intellectual resources available in the area for development of our
patented paper products. In October 2006, SDF was awarded a patent
by the United States Patent and Trademark office on our improved
paper strap (Patent Number.: US 7,118,648).
Our industrial paper strap offers customers a cost
effective option to current, widely used plastic strapping utilized
in numerous industries for packaging. In this current era of growing
awareness for environmental stewardship, SDF is the first company to
provide an alternative to plastic that is designed for strength yet
water soluble and eco-friendly. Customers using this product
can completely eliminate plastic
from their packaging with no additional expense in equipment or
strap cost.
Our pulp strap is engineered to replace the traditional wire used in
the pulp baling industry. For the pulp mill customer, this new pulp
strap offers a highly desired and very marketable solution to their customers (paper mills) dealing with wire issues including employee
injuries (safety), pulper downtime (wire stuck in equipment), and
handling costs in wire removal. This product is capable of
supporting over 450 lbs. of tensile strength, yet was designed to
break down along with the pulp and become part of the paper making
process.
SDF strives to promote progress in green initiatives by offering
products made from a sustainable,
renewable resource that is ecologically responsible and fully
recyclable. As a Christian company, we fully recognize our
responsibility to oversee our natural resources and monitor the
environmental impact of our business practices. Remaining vigilant
in this goal is paramount, as our accountability is to our Lord and
Creator.
